SURGERY TIMES

All surgeries are by appointment only. (We will, however, do our best to offer emergency consultations when necessary.) In addition, a number of appointments are opened up for each doctor on a daily basis and we also offer extended opening hours on Tuesday evenings and Thursday mornings (see overleaf).

MANCHESTER ROAD SURGERY

There are daily morning and evening surgeries here, and on some days there is a lunchtime or an early afternoon surgery.

Every day there is provision for unwell children to be seen the same day. Please ring the surgery and be prepared to give details of the child’s symptoms; an appointment time will be given for a consultation with the duty doctor.

NIGHT AND WEEKEND COVER

The surgery is closed at 7.00pm each evening (except Tuedays) and is not open at the weekend. We are also closed on bank holidays. If you need a doctor urgently at these times telephone (01282) 420680 and a recorded message will give details of arrangements for medical cover.

You may be given the number of NHS Direct who will triage your call. They may ask you to attend a local out-of-hours centre, a doctor/nurse may offer you advice over the telephone or a home visit may be offered (but only in cases of genuine medical emergency).

Please use this service with discretion.

ACCESS FOR THE DISABLED

Our main surgery provides access for disabled persons and wheelchairs and is equipped with special toilet facilities. We have a number of consulting rooms which are on the ground floor level.
